Academy Award Winning Documentary, Robert Kennedy Remembered
$80 donation for VHS or $100 donation for a pre-order of the forthcoming DVD

In honor of RFK’s 80th Birthday this November, the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Center for Human Rights and Guggenheim Productions (www.gpifilms.com) have come up with a special offer to donors.

For an $80 donation to the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Human Rights, not only will you honor RFK’s legacy on this special occasion and support his vision through the work of our human rights programs but you will receive a VHS copy of Robert Kennedy Remembered. A $100 donation the Memorial will order a copy of Robert Kennedy Remembered on DVD. This is the first time this movie has ever been distributed to the public and you can not buy this film in stores.

Shown on all television networks and during the 1968 Chicago Democratic National Convention simultaneously, this moving film tribute to a man who had hoped to win the presidency created a historic moment when it brought the proceedings to a standstill and the crowd, in tears, to its feet. Commissioned by the Kennedy family, the film begins with the funeral train to Washington, DC and follows the triumphs and tragedies in the late Senator’s life with extraordinary newsreel footage, archival stills, and home movies.

The film was produced in only four weeks, two months after the Senator’s assassination, in order to meet the Convention deadline. Guggenheim Productions, with the country’s resources at its fingertips, worked around the clock to complete this film honoring RFK and the Democratic Party. Robert Kennedy Remembered is a poignant eulogy and compelling reflection on the spirit, quality, and commitment RFK brought to his life and work.
